Tee Box Works - Dec 2009

It is our intention to commence the remedial works to the 10th tee box. These works will entail the lifting of the existing turf, excavate - in order to loosen the inert soil, the laying of perimeter retaining edging to the appropriate levels, levelling with the inert materials and imported if required whilst compacting at every 100mm to ensure compaction and avoiding subsidence in the future. Upon completion of the reformation works new turf will be laid and given the appropriate time to settle and bed in.

The anticipated start date for these works is early in the New Year (weather permitting)  - this being the case the tee box should be opened for mid to end of March.

In the interim there will be a rubber all weather mat placed adjacent to the front edge of the 10th tee box for both the Ladies and Men to play from.

I am aware that there are other tee boxes that require similar works and would like to take this opportunity to advise that the intent is to progress with these in a singular fashion in order to accommodate the members, avoid unnecessary disruption and control our costs.
